Mercy


We live in a male dominated society. Males are always seen in a position of power or dominance. We're not always raised to show or acknowledge our vulnerabilities like I've said before. With that being said it's safe to say that guys definitely aren't used to humbling themselves in terms of their pride. I don't think many men are comfortable with the idea of being at the mercy of a woman.

It has to be one of the more uncomfortable things for a guy to deal with. I think a prevalent scenario is when you see a guy "whipped." I don't think dudes are ever comfortable admitting that they're whipped by anyone. This is a case where the woman has a definite position of power and the male is now at the mercy of the woman. This is almost to the point that if or when a woman leaves the dude is still caught up on the woman. A scenario like this puts a guy in a position that he's not used to. A woman can take much pride in the fact that this may be every guy's Achilles heel. For a woman to have this kind of pull over a guy is something you hang your hat on. Any guy would tell you that every woman doesn't have that effect on them.

Being that experiences like this are few and far in between, the effects from them are greater on both sides. From a woman's perspective depending on who she is, she either exploits this or respects it and makes sure she doesn't hurt dude. From a guy's point of view he is vulnerable, so he knows he feels a way that probably isn't safe for him to feel. His destiny is basically in his hands. The truth is that more than likely he will loose the person he's been "whipped" with. I don't say this to be pessimistic at all, just being honest. At this age things will begin and end, and start back up again as we continue to evolve. To combat this feeling of vulnerability you're going to have to assert some control somewhere in your situation in order to try and keep your emotions in check. It's really a unique situation, and a situation where you ladies truly thrive if I'm speaking to you lol. Just want y'all to be informed and be careful

Maybe Men Are Trash

Admittedly, in younger years I was one of those "not all men" type of men.  Please bare with me as I feel the collective eye rolls of any woman reading this. But in recent times I'm noticing that what I was doing in those former moments was not taking myself out of the equation. At the time I thought that I was, but I really wasn't. In recent years, through my dating journeys and speaking with different women, I realize that there are just way too many horror stories about men out there. Maybe A Man Should Love A Woman More Than She Loves Him?

Courtesy: Everything Girls Love It's been 6 years since The Best Man Holiday released.  After going out to catch that movie, a conversation ensued where I heard the phrase that a man should love a woman more than she loves him.
