Lady In The Streets......
So my good friend Nhya wanted to know my opinion on something. It just so happens that I read a similar article on the topic yesterday over on bitchielife. Generally speaking the topic is based on men loving freaks but not respecting "hoes." What's my take? Those two things are way different from one another. And I'm about to get into why.
Men love them some freaks... I can't see why not. In the article i read yesterday the writer made a great point. He said in so many words that men would allow their woman to go as far as they wanted sexually, up to the point where they weren't being degraded. I agree, of course there's not much I find degrading lol. But it gives great insight into how a man thinks. Chris Rock says men can't go backwards sexually and women can't go back in terms of lifestyle. A man needs things interesting, they want surprises, they want their woman to be nasty, just not at the risk of her own dignity.
Now a man wouldn't respect a "hoe" pretty much because she's a freak, and that's fine and dandy, but problem is she's a freak with everyone. There's not anyone she's not a freak with, and that "Mystique" (see old post) she carries is now gone, the element of surprise is gone. Once that element of surprise leaves it leaves much less to be intrigued about. A cousin of mine told me one day, he said "You can't do everything with everybody," truer words had never been spoken. Those are the words i had lived by from that point on, because you have to leave some of the special amenities for the special people.
For the record, you should respect all, as people, but it's okay not to respect a lifestyle, that's just your take. A man may still deal with a "hoe" but that "hoe" won't get the same amenities someone else may due to the fact that she left nothing to his imagination. It sounds a little contradictory on the surface but it really isn't. You can be the world's biggest most respectable freak. You simply have to remember that you can't do everything with everybody, you follow that and and you can always reserve the right to call yourself a lady.
I hear you! You can't just go around freakin' off everyone! Sadly, it seems that this only applies to females. Let a male pull the same stunt as the female who does everything to everyone and surely he won't be labeled a hoe... just stating the obvious I guess.
